" If you are having a trouble beating the game, or if you can't seem to find the shortcuts yourself, this guide will fill you in. "

Title: Supercar Street Challenge: Official Strategy Guide by Brady Games

      Format: Strategy Guide

      Reviewing Monkey: Simi N.

The Hype: Find all the secret paths, learn expert racing strategies, unlock all the cars and all the tracks, extra information on all the super cars, see the maps for ever course in the game.

      What This Monkey Thought...

Layout: For once in my life I am disappointed in an aspect of a Brady Games guide. For the most part the book is great. It has full color images of the courses and cars, and it reads well. But the problem is that it is presented in what I consider to be a screwy order. The first two chapters make sense; they are about the basics and the cars. But after that the book has detailed descriptions of every course in the game, along with hints on where to find the shortcuts. The problem is that most of this information is repeated in the section following that deals with the championship modes. It really is just not efficient, and worse it throws you off when you want to look up a hint about the race you are on. 4 out of 5.

Usefulness: Personally I didn't have a lot of trouble with this game, but every time I got stuck this guide was extremely useful at getting me through. And what was really nice is that I knew what I was going to accomplish by beating all of the circuits ahead of time. If you are having a trouble beating the game, or if you can't seem to find the shortcuts yourself, this guide will fill you in. 4.5 out of 5.

Desired Content: What more could you ask for, this guide gives you the run-down on every course in the game, and all the cars. It tells you about all of the shortcuts that you can take and even which ones to avoid. It has general driving tips, and tells you what races and cars you will unlock by beating the different championships. The one thing I wish it had that it didn't was a section that when presented with multiple cars, suggested a car to give you the best shot at winning. 5 out of 5.

Accuracy: As usual the accuracy is top notch. There were no mistakes that I discovered. All of the tracks are laid out in good accurate detail, and the cars' performance is right on too. If you have this guide you are in good hands. 5 out of 5.

      The Verdict:

This guide will tell you all you need to know about this game. The only problem is that the order of the information is a bit off, and I wish that they had some more tips for me.

The Good: Nice detail, good full color pages, and all the crap you need to know.

The Bad: The order of the information is kind of screwy.

The Overall Ugly: If you have the game and want to know everything about it, get this guide.

What it's Worth: Probably about $10.00.
