      The Hype: No more wires when you watch DVD movies!

      What This Monkey Thought...

      Usefulness: You know I personally don't find most of these controllers that useful since you can perform all of the same functions that they provide with your Playstation controller. The only real use I can see for them is that they are wireless and therefore slightly less of a hassle (unless of course they are universal). That said this controller is good if you don't have a controller that will reach your couch. It provides no added functions other than what the Playstation controller comes with. 2 out of 5.

      Compatibility: This controller is perfectly compatible with the PS2 console. It won't work without its receiver, but the receiver has a pass through so you don't ever have to unplug your controller. But it will not function well as a game controller as that is not what it was designed to be. 5 out of 5.

      Performance: This controller works very well in the way it was intended to. It won't be at all useful for playing games with, but it works perfectly as a DVD remote control. The only problem that I found is that the remote I got to review was mislabeled, so at first it didn't seem to work at all, but after some serious head scratching and a little jumping up and down and screaming I figured it all out and it works fine, admittedly you can't point it too far away from the receiver before it stops working but it's not bad. 3 out of 5.

      The Verdict:

This remote control is good but not great. If you really want a remote control and really like the looks of this one you may want to consider getting it, but the truth is there are superior ones on the market for a similar price.

      The Good: It works fine and it looks really cool.

      The Bad: It really isn't very useful in the long run and it has a fairly small trajectory range wherein it still functions.

      The Overall Ugly: It's not bad for what it is, but you could do better.
