Title: Grand Theft Auto 3 Strategy Guide by Brady Games
Format: PS2 Hint Book
Reviewing Monkey: Mojo Jojo
The Hype: Brady thinks you need a hand slogging your way through one of the most violent games of all time. Frankly, I agree…
What This Monkey Thought...
Layout: Given the massive amount of information available in this book, the layout ain't half bad. Most of the time, these people are dealing with 50 or 100 page books- but the GTA3 hint book ranks in at a hefty 250! With that in mind, the table of contents is pleasantly easy to navigate and everything is reasonably easy to find. 4 out of 5
Usefulness: There's a pretty hefty argument about how hard the game is. On the one hand, it's huge. On the other, in general, it's laid out pretty linearly. Either way, though, I think you'll find this guide handy. It not only tells you how to solve all the missions, it also points out all the packages, gives you tips, and generally makes you life easier. 4 out of 5
Desired Content: Everything, and boy do I mean everything, I could think to want is in here. Walk throughs, maps, cheats, tips, tricks, and strategy…It's here in spades. Really the only thing I might have wanted was some slightly larger pictures (the average year book photo is bigger than the pics in here). But that's a pretty small gripe. 4.5 out of 5
Accuracy: Despite a few errors, everything was pretty much where they said it would be. And, even when it's wrong, it'll direct you in more or less the right direction. 4 out of 5
|While the guide isn't mandatory, it's certainly nice to have. I'd certainly suggest picking it up.|
The Good: Everything you want and tons you didn't know you did.
The Bad: Not always on the spot.
The Overall Ugly: A great guide.
